        The Biosystems and Agricultural Engineering department at OSU allows graduate students to tailor coursework to their individual goals. Both Doctoral and Master's students have a wide array of courses to choose from in BAE. Additionally, students and may work with faculty to develop unique special topics courses. These are classes taught by faculty knowledgeable in that specific area, such as big data analysis, soil traction dynamics, software, sensors, etc. So long as students take the required number of BAE designated courses, they may also take classes in Mechanical, Civil, Environmental, Electrical, and Computer engineering which will count for their degree plan. To assist graduate students in developing a plan of study, examples of different plans are listed below. Each plan was targeted at a specific area of Biosystems Engineering. Examples are listed for both PhD, and Masters level degrees.
