The OSU Unmanned Aerial Systems (UAS) team, which includes J.D., had earlier in September submitted material for the 2016 OSU President’s Cup competition for promoting “creative interdisciplinarity”.  The team was honored at the University Awards Convocation on November 30 to learn we were awarded first place in that competition.  The above photo shows the trophy and members of the team, which include faculty (left to right) from Aviation and Space, Geography, Biosystems and Agricultural Engineering, and Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering.  The title of our submission was “Interdisciplinary Synergies for Unmanned Aerial System (UAS) Innovation and Advancement”.
